What is Krampusnacht? The night Krampus comes knocking.
Every year on December 5th, the Alpine regions of Europe gather for a festival that centers around Krampus: A Yuletide Beast who deals punishment rather than giving gifts like good old Saint Nick. Krampusnacht represents the balance between light and dark, reward and consequence, good behavior and bad. Which got us thinking…what better Holiday could possibly exist for running? A sport that requires sacrifice and in return we receive its rewards. This left us no choice but to host a race that decides for itself if it will go easy on you….or not.
Welcome to Mystery Miles 2: Krampusnacht. A Virtual Race where the final distance is unknown until race day. This edition features a minimum distance of 10K and a maximum of 15K. The final distance will be somewhere within that range.
Race day: Saturday, December 5th, 2026. Registration closes December 2nd.
Train for anything. Run the Unknown. See you on Krampusnacht.
